Food in Macau

Determined to revisit the places Yvonne brought me..
Manage to bring him to Coloanne town to try tht famous
portugese egg tarts by lord stow..
i recall the 1st time yvonne bought 1/2 dozens &
we sat across the stone table
eating the freshly baked tarts..
and the stone table still there :D

1st day

across Lord Stow eating the tarts.. HKD 7/pc

right side of lord Stow there's this resturant featured in the korean drama series
宫 野蛮王妃

1st - 3rd day dessert @ Senado.

Our favourite 双皮炖奶
range ~ HKD 13-23

warm and cold taste different..
cold smell & taste sweeter than the warm ones..they've a variety of steamed milk.

According to hubby, the closest taste you can get like this in Singapore
is at Macau express in Spore Expo,
for me i tried Crystal jade style..
Conclusion: We still love Macau's style. :-)

Between lanes of the beautiful buildings in Senado..
i manage to locate my cravings..

My! the aromas of this biscuit mousse linger in my mouth..
ITS A MUST-TRY! HKD 58

their Irish coffee had a strong dosage of alcohol,
so check with staff the content of your drink order.

the resturant hidden in between the lanes..
thank god my memory didnt fail me..

Didnt manage to eat 虾仔面 around another corner of the place this time,
coz we'r really full..
save some space in our stomach for 牛扎(mixed beef organs curry bowl)

3rd day lunch @ Taipa 1st stall ~ we had a pot of 水蟹粥 cost HKD65 & thai cold chicken feet
taste very sweet. Too busy eating forgot to take pics.

4th day lunch still along the street @ taipa 雪利市斯美食

this grilled pork knuckle HKD 68 is the only dishes we find that taste good.

Hoon's BBQ gathering 8th March

This is what Hoon does best (beside her artistic flair& her job),
her generous dosage of ingredients & food for parties.

Didnt geta drink tht day..

aiyeeyayai! Shld nt've drive tht day..

aphrodisiac / comfort food

This year valentine's day,
i set up my annual fondue 'feast' for 2
his favourite mashmellow (a particular brand),
my favourite bananas and some other fruits..

Melted some chocolate from his christmas gift,
i added fresh low fat milk &
some cointreau (still cant bear to open up my grand marnier)into the chocolate..
Note: Remem* must add milk or some water to melt the chocolate!

Nigella lawson was in my mind the whole time while making this chocolate thingy.. :D

Feedback: Apple didnt really go well with chocolate..

Homemade japanese don

Cook up a bento set before my trip,
at the same time trying to 'clear' away some ingredients.

Prep: 10mins ~ 20mins

1. Cook rice in pots, after cooked stir in some japanese vinegar/rice seasonings
2. Slice some onions for the eggs,
3. Fry the sliced onions, till you see some brownings/fragrant is out
beat 3 eggs and pour into pan.
4. (add cheese,if prefered) scoop up the eggs after 1/2mins
I prefered my eggs half cooked with some parts of the egg still runny.
5. heat up ham and unagi
6.lay them all onto the rice.
7. lastly, sliced some cucumbers for added crunchy-ness and avocado.

Voila! all nutrients in one bowl. :D

Follow dish with Miso Soup

1. White/brown japanese button mushroom
2. Corn for sweetness (optional)
3. Mushroom ball (optional)
4. Miso Paste
